About seven years ago, Industries of the Blind in Greensboro, NC, stopped producing our Cotton of the Carolinas t-shirts to focus on other projects. However, a year ago, we discovered that during their production, they had over-ordered thousands of yards of the ribbed fabric used for the collars. This unexpected surplus sparked an exciting opportunity for us to experiment with new styles, using this super soft, very stretchy, and oh-so comfortable fabric.

A key part of our sustainability mission is reducing textile waste. That's why we've created The Overdyed Collection. When you put as much work into meticulously crafting clothing as we do, you don't like to see anything go to waste. At Solid State Clothing, we're constantly experimenting with new dye materials and techniques, and we don't always come out with a color we're super excited about. These shirts are still first-quality in every other way, so we dye them a second time.

Please Note: These shirts are dyed True Black, but depending on the base color of the shirt, the shades and depth of the black will vary.
