Introducing the Perfect Fit: Women's Long Sleeve T-Shirts Available for Presale!

We are excited to release the launch for Women's NC Ribbed Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirts, made special, with Solid State Clothing customers in mind. About seven years ago, Industries of the Blind in Greensboro, NC, stopped producing our NC Cotton t-shirts to focus on other projects. However, a year ago, we discovered that during their production, they had over-ordered thousands of yards of ribbed fabric used for our t-shirt collars. What could have been wasted excess fabric turned into an exciting opportunity for us to experiment with new styles. This super soft, stretchy, and oh-so comfortable fabric brings new life to our products, and it is only the beginning!

Kaitlin Todora, a passionate designer with an extensive background in 3D design, product development, and manufacturing technologies, helped us to create 3D renderings of the garments that you see today. 3D design tools enable designers to create, pattern, fit, grade, and refine garments quickly and accurately within a seamless digital workflow. After releasing a survey on the styles to our customers, Kaitlin came back with suggestions based on those results. Her input was invaluable, and after reviewing several samples, we were able to make the perfect adjustments to bring our vision to reality.

Finally, we turned to Rally Apparel in Sandersville Georgia, for the cut and sew process. With the final prototypes in hand, two of our employees, Ally Cisar and Emily Stasiak, modeled the long sleeves while giving them a real-life test run. In checking for quality, comfort, fit, and style, we are happy to report they passed the test. The Women’s NC Ribbed Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirts are soft and cozy, meticulously crafted to be durable and provide all-day comfort, and so versatile that you can dress them up or down.

A pre-sale will help to validate the demand of styles and sizes, now offering XS-4XL! Once we hit 50-100 total sales, Rally Apparel will begin the cut and sew process. There will be a 5-6 week turnaround once this happens.
